About Us

A hidden gem embedded within Kiulap and founded by the late Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Hj Abdul Momin Bin Pengiran Othman, Kolej International Graduate Studies was established to provide students with the opportunity to pursue their dream of achieving higher academic qualifications. Kolej IGS is currently offering programmes in the areas of Information Technology and Business, and certificates and diplomas in Art & Humanities and Multimedia & Broadcasting.

Staying faithful to the founder’s vision to equip young Bruneians with highly relevant skills for maximum chances of employability, Kolej IGS employs professionally qualified training staff committed to the needs of vocational and technical education programmes and undergraduate studies.

As for running programmes that are designed to produce industry-ready graduates, Kolej IGS has been accredited to run 3-year full-fledged degree programmes through an academic collaboration with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), Malaysia as from April 2011. This academic collaboration with other institutions of higher learning has grown significantly over the years to include the offering of the certificate and diploma level programmes in multimedia and broadcasting areas with the University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) as of 2016 and BriBUS foundation level programme with the University of Technology Brunei as of 2019. University of Technology Brunei as of 2019 and as IBTE approved Training Centre to run IBTE Programmes in HNTEC and NTEC in Business and Information Technology as of October 2021.

Diving back into Kolej International Graduate Studies’ past, Kolej IGS is the first local tertiary level institution to be fully accredited by His Majesty’s Government through Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC), Ministry of Education in 2003 to run the diploma courses of Brunei Darussalam Technical and Vocational Education Council (BDTVEC). Today a number of significant developments have taken place after 18 years of operation. Kolej IGS is now offering 22 different programmes which include six (6) at degree level qualifications, three (3) foundation, four (4) diplomas, and two (2) certificates level programmes.

By providing tertiary-level education and professional training to the local community, Kolej IGS is playing its role in facilitating and supporting the skilled human resource needs of His Majesty’s Government and the private sector by equipping the students with the critical skills and knowledge to assist in ensuring the continued development of Negara Brunei Darussalam in the 21st Century.


To become the first private educational institution awarding its own qualifications and its own diversified quality programmes to develop and empower the potentials of an individual by incorporating lifelong learning principles in pursuits of global developments and changes.

What are the college’s entry requirements?

• For our certificate programme a minimum of 2 O’ Level
• For our diploma programme a minimum of 4 O’Levels
• Four our degree foundation programme a minimum of 1 A’Level or 5O’Levels
• For our degree programme a minimum of 2 A’Levels or a diploma

How and where can I pay fees?

The tuition fees can be paid either on a monthly basis, per semester or per annum and all payment can be made at the Finance Department

Is it possible to do my studies on a part-time basis?

At the moment, the college does not offer any part-time studies as the programmes are conducted on a full-time basis. However, for our degree course, students have the option to enroll as a Day or Night Student.

I’m interested in joining a sports or an activity club of some kind, do you have one?

Our ECA comprises vibrant activities, from cross-country running to DJ-ing, from aerobics to movie appreciation club. Students are welcomed to join any club of their interest to express individuality while enhancing learning opportunities such as co-operation skills which will come handy in life.
